magneto switch is on both ?

EDIT: ah, and here an example topic about

Hi Micha,

thanks for your fast reply Micha.

Hm, yes, the magneto switch on my Honeycomb is set to “Both”.
So, this is not the cause unfortunately.

Garmins are also black when hotstarting from a runway.

can you do a short try without the Honeycomb connected ?

I have other think in mind about, but… have’nt find the topic yet..

EDIT: and I forgot to ask… its the vaniall g1000, not the nxi ?

Hi Micha,

i just hotstarted the Diamond on a Runway without the Honeycom Peripherals connected. Unfortunately no change, Garmins are black. So i think this error may not be related to the HC flight controls.

Edit: The G1000 NXI is not installed. I tried it with and without the mod, no change unfortunately.

Are you using G1000 NXi from the Marketplace?

then a user reported something like invalid files:

If installed i use the NXI from the marketplace, yes.

Sorry I’m not clear on that answer. You are using it?

I am sorry, not a native english speaker. I am not using the NXI Mod curently. But i have been before. As the error occured i deleted the Mod via the Content Manager.

Hey Micha, what does it mean: delete everything that begins „in base“?

good question  ..

I assume all folders starting with “base*” … I’am not sure about these solution. More generall it sounds for me like that “some files gone corrupt”.

But… I think about whether a re-check/validation of this is possible.

Thanks for your help nonetheless.

I am also using the XCloud Version if that matters.
But i did not install anything on it beside the World Update for Spain.

I just tried it on various aircraft now without the Honeycombs connected. Unfortunately on every single plan the Cockpit stays black. On hotstarts it is possible to fly, but no Garmin anymore.

hmmm.. hope there is not a strange side effect from the former installed NXI..

Can you check the LocalCache Folder ?

I own the Steam version, so not exactly sure about the path, but should located somewhere here:
C:\Users\yourusernameAppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
then futuremore to: Packages\Official\OneStore

Are there folders like “*-g1000” in there ?.. can you try to remove these ( or if unsure just backup ) ?

EDIT: ha, now I also found the topic where the user reported that possible fix

Hi Micha,

thanks again for your very kind effort.

I already checked for that possible solution. I am using the Microsoft Store Version. The folder does not contain the mentioned folders. There is only one .png file named „MFD_Startup_G1000.png“ but i assume that this file is completely irrevelevant for the bug.

I think i am totally stuck now. Maybe i have to do a complete re-install? There goes a whole day :flushed:

hmmm.. these file is somewhere in here “Asobo-vcockpits-instruments-navsystems\html_ui\Pages\VCockpit\Instruments\NavSystems\Shared\Images\Logo” ?

Some folder above are the default instruments, may be you can check for strange change-file-dates.

This may also be the result of an addon conflict.
Try the sim with your community folder empty and see if that helps.

I would not do a reinstall, if it is an issue with your setup, it may not cure it, and it can cause a lot more problems.

Today i installed the Kodiak. Maybe it introduced some kind of bug?

hmmm.. I assume not.. but in combination with the NXi… who knows.

I assume we simple have to remove the correct files  .. may be we searching in wrong place and have to look more into the “Roaming” folder ( but currently not sure whether this exist in case of MS-Store version ).

@TheSevenflyer he mentioned already empty community folder.. we think currently about whether a former installation of e.g. the g1000nxi may be change some important files, or create one which must manually removed.
