Garmin G1000 handling

I find the G1000 VERY difficult to handle with the mouse and keyboard. Dreaming of a mock-up of course but they are too expensive so I have been thinking much of how it could be easier. Came up with the idea that it would be neat if I could handle the G1000 on my iPad simutanousley withe the flights I’m. The iPad could communicate withe the PC through Bluetooth, usb cable, Wi-Fi net or the web. This way I think it would be much easier to choose the G1000 functions using the touchscreen with my fingers, compared to what I am trying to do with the mouse now.

Did you check out the Octavi IFR-1 ?

I use an XTouch Mini to manage the G1000. Inexpensive and multi functional.

Thanks for suggestions but admit that my idea is a lot better. The iPad mock-up could appear exactly as the real G1000 instrument, teaching you to work as you’d do in a G1000 equipped airplane (which is part of the idea with these flight simulators). But much more user friendly than the mouse handling I have to in my PC.
