Garmin G1000 NXi Issues and Support

The default aircraft no longer use the G1000 ā€” they all use the G1000 NXi regardless if the mod is installed or not installed.

Also if you try LIRQ (RUNWAY 05 DIRECT TAKE OFF) - LIRP PISA (ILS 04R-Z APPROACH DIRECT) CESSNA GRAND CARAVAN WAY POINTS LIRQ-UNPIV-FF04R-LIRP 3400 FT ALTITUDE - IFR LOW ALTITUDE AGAIN ā€¦the flight plan DONā€™T SHOW IN THE GAME itā€™ s only pointing to NORTH ā€¦i donā€™ have nothing in garmin or in the vfr map :-((((

I love the G100NXi. I also had problems similar to this a few months ago. I uninstalled it from the sim and re-downloaded it. Is there a problem if you input the flight plan manually into the G1000NXi? Sometimes flight plans that show a discontinuity in an airliner FMS will show as missing legs or weird turns in the G100NXi.

The first part of the flight plan is totally missing(no magenta or white line on gps) so i had to set a direct to in the garmin manually to the first waypoint i see on the appearing flight plan or i had to use as you say, the ap in heading mode to go straight where start the white/ magenta line of the flight plan (rhe first i see is in the middle of rhe original plan) that begins in the middle of nowhereā€¦and only then my plane is close where the line is starting the autopilot recognize the plane and follow itā€¦also in other flight i had problems for example in the middle of the flight the gps line disappear and the garmin goes in SUPP mode (yesterday flying to Bolzano airport same plane)

Just tried it and the first leg to UNPIV is missing. If you input the plan directly into the Garmin, the plan shows properly. I tried it in the DA-62 with the same results.

Did you see my second example on the same route in reverse? I don t have the flight plan at all

Yes. I see this as an issue.

I suggest posting this in the official G1000 NXi thread and seeing what WT has to say about it.

The only thing here that seems odd to me is, given the current weather conditions, the direction of takeoff is at a runway that leads directly into a hillside. I have a hard time believing this would be an approved IFR takeoff given the proximity to the hill and the rate of climb that would be required to clear it as an obstacle.

Iā€™m no air traffic expert, by any stretch of the imagination, but this would seem highly dangerous in real life.

Perhaps this is breaking the procedures in the NXi.

I live in Florence ā€¦and this is a real take off towards Morello mountain :joy: sometimes i take flight with that take off dir on the other side of the runaway we have the motorway 30 mt from the beginning of the runaway :neutral_face::neutral_face::neutral_face::neutral_face:

Did you tried my other example? The same course on the reverse florence to pisaā€¦ there isnā€™t the gps set in the garmin :neutral_face:

The automatically generated world map plan has decided that your approach is to be flown with no transition, and has not sent a transition with the plan. This results in the following plan:

As you can see, no transition in the Garmin units is the same as selecting VECTORS, which is a VTF approach. The plan is in and shown, as you can see on the map, but there is a discontinuity between LIRP and the start of the approach, because it is a VTF. This is the correct depiction of this approach selection, according to what the world map sent.

If you would like to fly this approach with a transition, you can always add one on the PROC page. The sim does not always select one for you.

I recall running into a similar issue with a SID that IRL has radar vectors as part of the procedure; the discontinuity in the procedure would prevent the flight plan transferring to the G1000nxi
