Garmin G3X Map Terrain Display

I have just returned to the Cubcrafters X Cub after about a year flying with G1000 equipped aircraft. I have to re acquaint myself with the G3X and I have been using the August 2023 manual to try and do that. One of the issues that I am facing at the moment is that the map terrain display, when in Split Screen, is simply black with high ground denoted in red and water in blue. I am unable to discover a way to change that either by rooting around in the menus on screen or by reference to the manual. Can anyone offer advice please.

I have confirmed that there is nothing left in my Community Folder which impacts on the X Cub and nothing that references the G3X Touch.

There is a way, in the map/menu options.
Disable the “terrain” option (no green light next to “terrain”).

Check this tutorial at minute 9:33 you’ll see what I mean.

Thanks Giannino2. I started to watch it but life intervened so I’ll go back to it later. I did start to watch that series on You Tube earlier but I have to admit to not being a fan of Mr Gatcomb; his hyperactive mouse and gabbled presentation I find irksome. However, if that is where the information is I will use the rewind button until it penetrates.
