In games, the translation of the term “Gate” into Chinese often varies significantly. Since Chinese and English belong to two different language systems, the translation of “Gate” must always take the context into account. Below, I will list areas where the translations are problematic.

1.登机口the part of an airport where passengers get on or off an aircraft

在这个语境下，Gate应该指的是连接飞机用来给乘客登机的桥梁。中文一般有以下称呼：

但是，游戏中存在这么几个地方的翻译错误In the game, these parts have translation error：

（1）拉力赛中，穿越门柱的计时时间被翻译为“登机时间”。In Rally race, when crossing the gates, it shows 登机时间, where it means the time for passenger to board the aircraft.

这个翻译错误主要出现在红牛挑战、拉力赛这两个地方。那个“门”，由于中国国内没有相关官方赛事，我不太确定确切翻译，但我个人认为应该翻译为“门柱”。

在红牛特技飞行赛中，这个“门”一般被称为：充气塔架。也可以直接称呼为“门”。

在拉力赛中，一般直呼为“门”，参照穿越机赛事的穿越门，赛事方都称为各种门。

This translation error mainly occurs in the Red Bull Challenge and rally racing. Regarding the term “Gate,” since there are no related official competitions in China, I’m not entirely sure of the exact translation, but I personally think it should be translated as “门柱” (Gate Pillar).

In the Red Bull Aerobatics competition, this “Gate” is generally referred to as “充气塔架”（inflatable tower）. It can also be directly called “门”.

In rally racing, it is usually called a “Gate” directly, similar to the “穿越门” (Crossing Gate) in FPV drone racing, where organizers typically refer to it as various types of “Gates.”

游戏中似乎并没有出现过闸门之类的东西（兴趣点除外）。但是游戏中有不少Gate翻译成了闸门。

There seems no such gate appearing in the game(unless it is a POI), but there are lots of 闸门 appears.

4.闸口

I’m not sure how to tranlate 闸口 into English (perhaps ‘Block’ or ‘Gate’), but usually, 闸口 means a kind of equipment that can open and close a door. Here are some picture examples of 闸口.

Gate一词出现最多的翻译错误就是“闸口”，但一般而言，闸口指的是开闭门，特指古代城门的悬门启闭装置。该字核心内涵围绕控制机制展开：既指水利工程中调控水流的设施（如船闸、涵闸），又引申为制动器的通称；作动词时表示截流拦水或机械制动操作。
