When I’m making a binding, am I changing “general controls” or “airplanes controls”? Both? Neither? What is the interaction between those two?
I can’t test it myself because every time I’ve tried to save a new profile to either one it disappears the minute I change profiles and I’m back to my inverted default setup where up is down and down is up.
Would really appreciate some help with this. Don’t even remember the last time I had this much trouble understanding the UI of anything.
If you look at the two boxes to the left of the assignment fields for a particular control, you can find out whether the control is an airplanes control or general control. AFAIK general controls relate to attributes in MSFS that are not directly related to flying the aircraft. You can also see what type of binding is required for that control - an axis or a digital binding (a button). There is also an “analog” binding type, which I haven’t made sense of yet. See below for an example.
