Yeah I don’t really get what the hate is all about when it comes to the weather. I only fly on live weather and it’s always pretty decent. My only small gripe is that lightning is far too common

The aircraft equipped with the relevant avionics for the C172 variant has not appeared. Someone has logged a bug report regarding this.

It seems that whichever aircraft you select, the sim always loads the aircraft listed to the left and configures that one instead. It’s pretty strange and mildly annoying, but at least once you know about it, you can work around it.
I assume Microsoft won’t be releasing any hotfixes for this, right?
I will have to try that because for the life of me today I could not Configure the DCD Concorde to pick a different livery because clicking that button didn’t do anything, so I was stuck with the default livery. I have never had this issue before on any previous 2024 version, beta or not.
To me it feels like an old frustration that has not thawed out yet.

Yes, just noticed it now too😂It is lightly annoying but glad there is a workaround for it, otherwise my PC would’ve flown right out of the window😂

Makes you wonder. This Beta is supposed to be about performance and stability. Yet, it’s clear they are making changes to the GUI. So, which is it?
I think it’s just the main focus, that doesn’t mean they don’t change other stuff.

Is anyone receiving more WASM crash red screens of death with SU5 beta? It seems several people are getting it with some add-ons, so is there something Asobo or MS can tell us about what might have changed to cause more of this?

I’m loving the wake turbulence in SU5! I can finally follow airliners in a 152 and they’ll give me a good rocking on the ground or try to knock me on my side in the air.

Its something I use for better immersion whilst flying vatsim during takeoff and landings its a choice yes but as I said I’ve been a beta tester from the beginning this is the first time I have had to leave to have a stable flight because of bugs it is what it is I feel performance in the beta is questionable anyway but its expected just thought id share my thoughts so people who use vr know it’s not there system

I guess you were not there pre msfs2020’s SU5?
Version 1.7.7.0 aircraft seem to have significantly reduced braking performance, to the point where I thought the brakes had failed.
PC. Haven’t done a full flight yet but the Fenix runs terrible in external view for some reason when on the ground. Ini A350 perfectly fine, no issues there.
Flying around in general has been pretty smooth so far.

The new sim rate indicator is a welcome feature, but its current integration with the compass UI is problematic for immersion. Ideally, the indicator should be a transient UI element that only displays when the simulation rate is being adjusted. Furthermore, adding a “Reset Sim Rate” keybinding would allow players to return to standard speed without the need of an indicator.

I’m not experiencing any WASM crashes. I’m flying the Fenix A320/A321 and everything is fine - performance is good as well.
