Hello All, I’ve been using a generic controller for flying the drone but only from time to time, so I don’t know exactly when it stopped working. I would guess maybe six months ish. It is visible in W11 and the axes and hat can be seen moving but it doesn’t show up in MSFS any more. The only thing I can think of that may have affected it is that I have downloaded vJoy to enable Matric controls. Tye drone camera works fine with the keyboard.
Has anyone had a similar problem and maybe solved it? Do you think that buying a genuine Xbox controller will work? Thank you for any help or suggestions.
Have you tried deleting it from MSFS and Windows, unplugging and then plugging in again?
vJoy does weird things with periperals. Especially when you say the controller shows up in Windows but not MSFS, makes me thing vJoy is messing something up.
MSFS doesn’t care at all what kind of controller you have. As long as it is registered as a Game Controller (see “Setup USB Game Controllers” in Windows Configuration) and it has buttons and/or axis, it should be visible in game.
Thank you, NonstopOyster0, That did the trick
Thank you, Pieter for your reply and advice. Good to know that M/S doesn’t object to generic controllers. Thankfully I tried NonstopOyster0’s tip first and it worked !
Thanks again, your reply is archived for next time.
