ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Experiencing geographic related CTDs in Europe. Doing a VFR tour and have run into this issue once in England and three times in Spain. The crash always occurs in the exact same location on the flight plan. Before the latest update, I opted out of the Beta to the recent stable version and the CTDs stopped. After the latest update, they now occur again. So it seems to be related to the latest update.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

This happens to me every flight at specific locations.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Begin a VFR flight over Barcelona in Spain with the destination of LEAP. Set LEAP as the destination in the flight computer and activate direct to for that location. Activate the NAV function.

  2. At a specific point just north of Barcelona you should experience the CTD. This should occur at the exact same location each and every time.

are you using any form of traffic injection? I am trying to pin down a similar issue.

No. I did manage to cure the issue by uninstalling the sim and reinstalling it. No idea as to what was causing it. But it’s been quite a while now since I have experienced another CTD. Guess we’ll just all it “one of those things” and leave it at that.

I did recently upgrade to an AMD 9000 series card from Nvidia. But the reinstall cured the problem before the card upgrade. I’m sure going to 16GB of VRAM isn’t going to hurt though.
