Getting Arrival Procedures into A SimBrief flight plan

I am just starting to learn the new Black Square TBM 850 with the TDS GTN NXi 750, and SimBrief flight plans to import into the avionics. I have successfully loaded a flight plan into the avionics using the Sim Brief downloader.
My question is; how to get a landing procedure like an ILS or RNAV etc, into the flight plan. Sim Brief doesn’t have or show airport landing procedures like ILS. The closest I can get is a STAR with a transition into the flight plan.

Am I not finding it, or do I need to use another method of getting landing procedures in to the flight plan?

Hi,

I expect generally to have only expected runway in use for landing, in time of FPL manipulation. You can set landing procedure (Arrival STAR and then runway proc as ILS/RNAV,…) at time to come close to arrival airport and then change all required to landing airport weather conditions.

Hello,

In terms of the TDS GTNXi, procedures need to be loaded individually from the GTNXi: Home/PROC page, not as part of an imported flight plan.

That’s normal in my experience. SimBrief is great for the route and STAR planning, but I usually leave the actual approach unset until I’m closer because runway, winds and even the transition can change. On Garmin-style units I normally import the route first, then load the STAR and approach from PROC once I have the latest weather or ATIS. If you preload the full approach too early, you often end up changing it again anyway.

Thank you for your responses. I guess I was assuming it would be like the G1000 in the sim. Sounds like this is more real world. I’ll give it try.
