Hellou! I’m having bad performance runnning MSFS2024. When im using 2020 im getting 50-60fps, using 2024 i’m getting 10-20fps. Can anyone help me?
My setup is: Intel i7 14700kf, 32gb ddr5, RTX 3070 8gb. Not the best setup ever, but not the worst, right?
Thanks!
Are the settings similar? A little hard to help with just the information here. At the very least, it would help to see the detailed graphics settings for 2024.
And, these are similar to what you have in 2020? Particularly, the resolution, LODs, and anti-aliasing? Also, can’t see the targeted frame rate for the Dynamic settings.
Don’t what kind of monitor you have BUT V-Sync and 100% monitor refresh rate could be making things messy. I’d see if things improve by disabling V-Sync or reducing the rate.
Does knocking off live weather and traffic make a big difference?
Things like bloom, flare, reflections, blur can make a big difference
I cap mine at 30fps and i have 4090
I have been having a nightmare with performace for the last two days, the sim has never been unplayable for me in the past, but right now its completely unplayable. 6 to 15 fps on the ground - cannnot do anything. I have made some videos and will try to put then here but its absolutely terrible for me right now.
My setting are all around high, TAA tried at 80% and 90% with frame gen on. RTX4070.
In case you wonder why i am on the grass…its because i cannot control the plane with 6 FPS
I am trying everything and for no reason - the performance has completely tanked. Nothing has changed in my set up. My card is fine, my set up is fine, all other games work as expected. But MSFS 2024 has tanked for no reason. It was perfect in Beta and now its complete rubbish.
Try to set texture resolution to high instead of ultra!! Raytraced shadows need a lot of Vram and texture res. ultra with ray tracing is too much if you only have 8gb of memory!
I believe I have read here in these forums to turn down Fauna or even turn it off if you can. I don’t have 2024 so I don’t know if you can turn it off. But try it and test the Sim again.
I have a 4080 Super and ran into a similar issue. Tried taking off at KATL with the Longitude and the fps dropped below 10 causing me to veer off the runway.
Restarted the game and the performance was back to normal
It’s absolutely ridiculous how much VRAM this game uses!
I was on the verge of uninstalling it today but I think I’ll stick with flying GA and stay away from large unoptimized airports.
Here’s what I suggest: start your PC in safe mode.
Use DDU to delete the NVIDIA driver (Clean and reboot.)
Reinstall the latest NVIDIA driver.
(Do the same for all new Nvidia driver installations!)
Do this even if you have the latest driver installed, but you didn’t install it that way.
