Getting from the Cockpit to the Cabin

Some of the video bloggers who post on YouTube routinely move their cockpit camera views into the passenger compartment on aircraft such as the PMDG 737 and Fenix A320. When I try to do the same, I get blocked at the cockpit cabin door (whether it is open or closed). I can get into the cabin using the drone cabin but it would be far preferable to do so with the cockpit camera – and it would also allow me to do keyboard presets for the cabin. Can anyone tell me what magic secret I am missing?

It can certainly be a pain, as you are seeing. The easiest way is to have camera views saved in the cabin and then use the arrow keys to move about from there.

As this can also be a bit cumbersome to setup, I use this from flightsim.to

Custom views already setup for just about every freeway, payware and Asobo aircraft.

Just copy the camera file over for the aircraft you want and the views will be setup, switch between them and move about as you like!

Which plane are you trying to get into the cabin for? Not all have interiors beyond the cockpit.

Even though an interior may not be modeled (seats, etc…) there is still a shell and Windows so you can setup wing views etc…

Unfortunately, the custom views I’ve found do not have an “in the cabin view” from which one can pan or move around. So that’s not much help. But thanks for checking in.

Which aircraft are you testing with, I haven’t found one that you couldn’t.

Are you trying to look at all the seats and galley and the all important lavatory?

The ones that matter most are the PMDG 737 and Fenix A320.

Yes, both of those work fine without issue. I am currently in the air in the 737 moving about.

Are you sure you set it up correctly?

put the camera.cfg file where it needs to go, then use the left Alt button and the Numbers (1-0) at the top of the keyboard.

If you set it up correclly, ALT + 1 will give you an in cabin wing view on the 737 from there use the arrows and mose to move around.

Thanks. Will work on that.
