Getting stock downloading the latest version of msfs Release Note 1.13.16.0

All I can tell you is that I do NOT set any data limits, or any other Internet Tool, that ,might affect the download.

I do not understand the logic behind limiting the data rate – maybe some think it will help over a WiFi connection .. but it does not make any sense to me … In any case, you do NOT want to mess with WiFi links, use an Ethernet cable … IMHO

Thanks a lot. Wish I had not tinkered around. Really hoping that the reinstallation works without any issues …

Guess what. Its completely downloaded. So for me the fix finally was tp bring down the download speed to under 12Mbit/sec. When I connected the ethernet cable it was looping so fast that I switched immediately to WiFi. I have two WiFi. When the higher speed Wifi was also not helping i connected to the lower speed Wifi and moved to a part of may home where the speed came down to around 10 ~ 12 Mbps… then on it was one straight download. whew

Here is what worked for me:
(I now see that I had set a data download speed limit of 20Mbits, which I wonder might have contributed to the problem).

  1. Disabled Windows Autotuning
  2. Disabled IPv6
  3. Disabled AntiVirus
  4. moved to a part of my house which bought the download speed to under 12Mbps

The entire remaining update downloaded in one shot after that.

Same problem as OP. Got stuck with 42 files left and a loop at 30%. The only think that helped was to hit the pause button for every percent of progress and then magically it jumps over 30% and the rest was no problem at all.

Sorry for bad english.

Can you see a pattern here – Moving to the part of the house where the signal is stronger !!

Good morning,

I was the person whom opened this section and I went thru three days and night of frustration; finally
I completed.

I am in Miami FL, USA and unfortunately I have to use wireless. My connection, for some reason was very unstable and I found that it has a lot of interruptions (minimal, but enough to affect connection).
I kept insisting over and over again until I could little by little complete the process. It took me three days, including the nights (very frustrating).

It definitely has to do with our ISP.

For now my system is working, but this is until another update happens.

We hope Asobo and MS take these issues into account and try not to put such large files in updates

yay, good to see you got it working, but i am afraid this is going to be a recurring issue.

Definitely, I hope this is not an Asobo and MS routine.

Files average 2GB each and are approximately 80 files not including small ones.

I insist that if they are going to put such large files in the updates, it would be better if they put them up for sale at a reasonable price and give us the option to install them or not; that way we do not necessarily have to go through these inconveniences. Of course, the critical files where they are correcting their errors, they must be passed through the mandatory update; but those that are to improve scenarios, leave them to our option.

Let us decide.

Thankyou. After a week downloading it’s done! Thanks for the suggestions.
