During the last few flights I have made around the eastern Pennsylvania - western New Jersey border (KABE and KXLL Allentown, KUKT Quakerstown, N43 Easton PA, Merrill Canyon Reservoir NJ ), I noticed a gamertag “HONEYBADGERSLYR - C172 - 1113 ft” appeared in every flight over several days.
Yesterday I went searching to find this ghost gamer, and don’t know what to make of it or how it could be generated.
Any ideas?
No ideas there, but it doesn’t surprise me.
I recommend using the Community Nameplates mod if you’re on PC.
It lets you hide the tags of everyone except those who you’re flying with.

Thanks - that works great - I even hid HoneyBadgerSlyr who was still “sleeping under a tree” today.
I have seen a similar thing happen in MP, where a Plane was in MP , not moving, in the air, with a game-tag of “UNKNOWN”, near KOMH (USA) and when looking on the MP menu of Local players, it was there, without any name displayed,
It was still there after a re-boot.
It was still there on the Eastern Server, after joining another server, and then returning to the Eastern Server,
The next day, it was gone
It seemed “Strange” so Glad I took a few screen shots at the time…
