Is there anybody in this thread taking part in the beta?
Has this imposed bug been resolved?

Has this imposed bug been resolved?
Still not unfortunately
At least this appears as “bug logged”, but how hard can be to adjust the size of the cursor lol hopefully in SU6
Hopefully before that , it’s totally unusable on my set up series X and cockpit interaction is basically nearly impossible . I’m sticking with 2020 till it’s fixed .
I’m surprised that cockpit interaction issues are being experienced by some Xbox X users. I use a mouse and don’t have the issues mentioned. I’m currently on SU5 Beta 1.7.17.0 but had no issues prior to this beta.
Also wondering how many people will complain when the cursor size is reduced. Only 28 votes for this bug so far. That’s a very low percentage of Xbox X users. Personally the size doesn’t bother me but equally making it smaller won’t be an issue either.
This is a huge problem for serious simmers. In MSFS 2020, we were used to a small, precise cursor. In MSFS 2024, the cursor has become so huge and bulky that it covers the cockpit switches and displays. When you need to click on small buttons or enter data into the FMC, it just leads to inaccuracies and wastes a lot of time
It’s massive issue , so much so it’s been tested and bug logged . Buttons and switches click by themselves when the cursor moves over them , making it impossible to use . This goes for all series X models .
All I can say is that I’ve never experienced it. I only use the mouse for moving the cursor.
Well I’m glad that you’ve somehow determined that I’m not a serious simmer as that means I don’t have to suffer this huge problem.
Having said that I don’t see how the size of the cursor affects a users ability to click small buttons and switches as its only the point of the arrow that needs to be placed on said controls to operate them. Maybe sitting about a meter and a half from a 65” OLED 4K display helps in this regard but I’ve never had any issue programming FMCs or operating small switches in any a/c.
I still stand by this though:
I’m not saying at all that you’re not a serious Simmer, but that said, regardless of your opinion, this remains an issue that bothers not only me but, as you can see, many other users as well
Independently if someone prefer small or bigger ones, the size of the cursor in 2024 is bugged.
It’s clear because the resolution of the cursor itself is lower than normal, making the cursor not only look unnecessary big, but also making it to look very bad.
Cursor size in 2020 is perfect, and exactly what to expect. Should be an easy fix, no? Or, at least, create an option in settings to decide the size.
It really needs a fix. It is one of the very first things you notice which is why I’m astonished that it has been left alone for so long..
At this point, I’m hoping a fix will be included in su6, since it’s now unlikely that it will be released with SU5 in a few days.
