3070 9900k Vive Pro 2 Here.
Getting 29-30 FPS on Performance settings.
Finally Found a Solution To fix all my stutters and OBS recordings issues (suttering) as well.
Sadly, the problem was my current hardware( Or the games poor memory optimization)
Do we really need 12GB of VRAM in this day and age? And Does GDDR6X RAM help push better textures at all?
Would love to see and test SU10 with DLSS and DX12.
Cant wait to try DLSS and see if its any better than what 80 percent render scale and the lowest possible resolution on my HMD is giving me.
LETS GO TESTERS LETS GO!!!
I’m looking forward to the beta too, but I don’t want them to push it out too soon. If they do, it freezes the code too early and they won’t make any more major changes or fixes, so then we’d have to wait months for the next sim update.

I see your point. They will have to push an experimental build thats wont break for 3 months.
I have been on Dayzs experimental branch for years and even participated in their server stress tests (Their Halloween stress test was a full DENSE fog i never seen in dayz before. It was amazing)
Most experimental branch builds break in a few weeks, so lets see what they got brewing.
Hopefully they slow down on the “Tech Debt” as its called and they start making things stable, because Xplane 12 is going be breathing down the flight sims neck and i have only heard how stable xplane is.
Thoughts?
I participated in the XP11 Vulkan beta. The first few releases were anything but stable, but it did settle down eventually.

Im glad to hear their team is going to slow down and push updates a little bit later. This is good, because to many features are going to break a lot of things. (Im looking at you Dayz)
Nice - Fellow Dayz player here!

Don’t let yourself be fooled by what some people write here. I took Xplane 11.55 out for a spin the other day. Flew out from EHLE in the AT-3 R100. Flew three minutes across bland, meaningless landscape made out of various shades of green and brown. Until the sim crashed to desktop, with nothing logged in the Windows log books.
Xplane in vanilla state is absolutely nothing to enjoy. You really need third party (payed) add ons to make it acceptable. I don’t know how people even start to compare it to what you get out of the box with MSFS2020.

What do you expect from a program whose graphics were developed 14 years ago?
Fair argument. But the comparison needed to be made in my opinion. Because to my view people are over romanticizing xplane here (maybe out of frustration).

The romanticizing is probably more in the area of the implementation of technical details. Not the graphics.
Yep. You’re probably right. Some people rather sacrifice eye-candy for (in their view) a more realistic flight model.
But there are as many RL pilots to be found on this forum who make the argument that MSFS is at least on par, or even better.
So it’s still all very subjective.
To me, who is on track to become a RL pilot, and takes weekly lessons as we speak, MSFS looks and feels perfectly realistic.
I often jump right into the sim after a class, just to repeat all the drills that I had to perform two hours earlier. I see every single farm, industry area, and river that we use as vfr reference points.
Xplane is a very smart flight model calculator, all respect to the small team that is able to pull this off. But you really have to dress it up all by yourself to make the world below a little realistic.

I also think the look of MSFS is great. But the rest is somehow unfinished.. Some 3rd party modules makes a lot better. But unfortunately the FS has hardly been usable in VR for me since SU09. I have FPS drops from 40-46FPS to 15-20 now. Only when I switch off the weather, Ai, multiplayer, photogram and much more do I still get a mere 25-33FPS.
Sorry, then I can also travel through Google Earth at a smooth 90FPS under blue skies.
Maybe I wouldn’t be so snappy if I hadn’t bought the (in my eyes) 95% useless Prem Deluxe pack. Who knows…
I mean, shouldn’t the core be fixed first before something new comes along?!
Hope SU10 make a lot thinks better, but as the saying goes: hope dies last.

Thanks for this line. Like you said before: xplane is 20 yrs old. One could put the argument on the table: and in that period they haven’t even been able to release a decent looking world by themselves, only a quite realistic flight model.
MSFS is nearly 2 yrs old. And they’ve been able to do both. In one tenth of the time
. So yes, unfinished, but running as fast as possible to achieve the nearly impossible.
But a bit of joking aside, I hope that your issues will get sorted out soon.
The look of MSFS used to be great, sadly since release it has been constantly downgraded and is nowhere near how good it used to be. And performance is worse as well. Ruined by Xbox release sadly.

God Bless you. Some go on and on and on and on and on and on.
Alot of addons. A LOT of them.
I don’t think everybody agrees with you on this. Performance and looks seem to have worsened for some, but for many it has been constantly improving. We can’t seem to figure out why, and Asobo is also guessing here. So where does that leave us?
Absolutely give SU10 Beta, if Simmers use it appropriately.
There have been a lot of negative posts, from the same Simmers, they dont offer any constructive criticism, just hate IMHO.

^^^ This. Far too many simmers seem to think that the betas are just an opportunity to use new features sooner. The whole point of a beta isn’t to benefit the users, it’s to benefit the dev process (which of course benefits the users eventually, but you see what I mean.)
There were so many angry threads about bugs in the previous betas… I mean, you’re voluntarily using a beta. Finding bugs is the entire point!
