I was sceptical from the beginning to be honest. My three weeks with the game were good, but it was clear that it needed some patching. So I cancelled the 1$ gamepass and decided to wait for a sale in spring or summer when it is fully patched. The game is just too good to waste it on buggy playtime. I want a clean experience. But what happens now was also on my mind. MS just lost Halo as a big show runner for Xbox One X, and FS2020 had to step in. Problem is, you can not release something on a new hardware that you want to sell if it looks worse than the PC counterpart. Nobody would buy the new hardware. Therefore, as with all PC releases which are als flagship titles on consoles, the PC version has to be capped to console graphics. And here we go with the PC patches: accidently LODs go down, draw distance goes down, water reflections are gone (especially the nice night ones, Anti-Aliasing is down, and so on. All âaccidentlyâ, as if this has never happened for PC titles that are also flag ship tiltes on consoles.

You can, in fact, console gamers do not really care so much about graphics than PC gamers do, otherwise they would be PC gamers. Console gamers want to casually game from their couch on a TV.
I got 3 years of game pass at the lower price/month. Flight sim is a bonus since I do play the other games on there. CK3 is a great change of scenery.
I 100 percent agree cuz this game has sooooo many glitches and it does need like till spring cuz we are just the guinea pigs of the sim
I donât know about anyone here but I do enjoy being a guinea pig for testing; it gives me the opportunity to at least contribute to the development of a complete sim.
The alternate is we go back to the FSX model where they produce a half-fleshed out v1.0 simulator that isnât particularly revolutionary, and you âtake it or leave itâ. What, performance issues? Weâll release an SP1 a year or so later, how about that?
A vast majority of console-only gamers are so because :

they prefer gaming from the comfort of their couch on a big-â â â TV screen vs a small 24" or less monitor;

the cost of getting a proper gaming computer that will give excellent performance is very prohibitive.
That second one is a big reason many of my friends who are gamers get consoles. They canât justify dropping $2000+ on a high performance gaming rig. They have a laptop or some low end computer for their computing needs, and use their console for games.
If you watch yesterdayâs live stream, the devs were genuinely surprised to discover there were graphical issues with LOD, draw distance and AA. This wasnât an intentional downgrade. This is a genuine bug in the game.
You can tell yourself this if you want. Last I knew, console gamers are exactly as eager for good graphics as PC gamers. There are countless games out there which are capped to console graphics level for exactly the hardware-selling reason.
They downgrade this sim right in front of our eyes because PC can not look much better than console. Mark my words. Glad I held back on buying this.

You did not listen to the last Q@A, draw distance will be increased improved for higher altitude, which did not take much frame down, same as antialasing, this was unwanted glitch added, it doesnât related to xbox.
Glitch\Bug âdowngradeâ can happens and unwanted, P3D all the time with update this happens, users do not seen this, but 3rd party developer need to redo stuff and release again which is big time consuming, I am developer myself and have to deal with P3D change all the time, which is terrible time consuming to make it compatible or did not look like before. There is add-ons are not even compatible with P3DV5 yet because it would take 6 months to 1 years to get it works from p3dv4.5
I donât think they were surprised during the q&a. They knew by that point. These are two of the highest or the two highest ranking officials on the project. Their surprise was probably finding out they actually downgraded some people.
Please elaborate. Which Xbox are you referring to? Just asking because I read about the spec of the future SeriesX version (AMD3700 based with good GPU) but do not know anything about the others. I am not supporting the speculation of a deliberate down-grade (even though 45 millions units of the older version have been sold) but perhaps it is this sales figure that fuels the suspicion because it means that number of potential users of FS2020 are already there before the launch of the SeriesX

4k all high settings, filtering to 16x, texture sampling to 8x8 render quality 80. All online features are turned to on, cache has been cleared and turned off, vpn is off. Checked to make sure nvidia wasnât âoptimizingâ my settings. What is going ON with this game
Look like there is no Photogrametry enabled, itâs offline mode, you are not getting any streaming at all.

Do reset inside MSFS and check if you have actually have connection on the net with MSFS, also log out from xbox\ms store.
Poor little fella, with a lag of 100ms and 4k being years behind, I can assure you console gamers care less about graphics.
Take a top triple A title like rdr2 compare the pc and console version (on a 4k display) and come back with your assumptions.
Youâre generally right that itâs available much later but the price value of a console hardware is much greater. You wouldnât be able to price the same computer parts together in the same form factor (in addition to having an OS). It definitely has a market and it wonât be surprising that theyâre trying really hard to make it work. Maybe pc just got some collateral damage and theyâre not even sure how we got downgraded yet.
