Firstly, it is really low FPS even at high refresh rate, and I want it to be much more responsive.
Also, when you point 90 degrees up, it flips in a really awkward way which makes it really hard to do a perfect loop-de-loop keeping straight the whole way, I’m not sure if this is the way it flips in real life, but if not, I hope there’s another way… If it is, that surprises me, because it means you can get very confused at where you are oriented and how your wings are oriented when its flipping back and forth between 0-90degrees and 90-180 degrees or whatever.
First, which glass panel, the G1000? If it’s that, it’s doing it correctly. They’re really not meant for aerobatics, (nor are most analog AIs, due to gimbal lock or a gyro tumble), which brings me to point two…
You should be looking out the sides when executing a loop as it’s a visual maneuver. Look back forward when you’re right side up on the recovery side of the maneuver. The AI in this case is only good for feeding you unusual attitude recovery cues (the red arrows), and even then, it still should be a visual thing.
I mean the one that’s green on fighter jets and stuff.
Idk what to call it.
The one that is translucent
It’s called a HUD - Head Up Display.
The pitch ladder has to flip orientation when you go past 90 degrees nose-up because the aircraft is then inverted.
Despite that, it’s still perfectly possible to fly a well-controlled loop in the F/A-18. The flipping of the pitch ladder should be almost instantaneous, certainly not enough to cause any confusion about the aircraft’s attitude.

Thats the problem, it flips too slow.
So you can easily loose track of exactly where level is.
If you can’t maintain a wings-level attitude during this manoeuvre the problem isn’t with the sim.

if the sky is blue, you have no reference point.
Thats the problem, sometimes Im not doing a simple loop de loop, which is easier, sometimes I’m pulling up to the top of a loop, then changing direction at the same time to go 45 degrees off the line of my loop entry, and its impossible to tell because of the wobbling hud.
