GNS 530 Approach

Hello, I am following Mike Jesch’s series on youtube for this Navigation device. One episode he is teaching Approaches. I loaded the KAJO VOR A into the 530. The entry after MAHEB, has 933FT. What does this mean?
The Runway is listed as 533 elevation on Skyvector.
The circling is listed as 1660.
Confused as to the correct procedure.

Thanks

I am confused too. The KAJO VOR or GPS-A chart only has two fixes, PDZ VOR and PDZ237/3.6, which is the MAP for RW25 and the MDA is 1660 for all runways. The MDA is the minimum descent altitude that you can descend too unless you have the runway in sight. The MAP is the furthest distance you can fly from PDZ while maintaining the MDA, after which you execute missed approach. Don’t know what MAHEB and 933 have to do with this approach.

I’d need to fire up the sim and load the procedure, but I think the 933’ is having you overfly the runway prior to starting your circle to land procedure, which would probably be flown as a standard traffic pattern. You’d start your crosswind turn at that 933’ point from MAHEB.

Try to visualize this as you’re dropping out of the clouds, descending towards MAHEB. You level off at 1660’ as you approach MAHEB you verify that you have the runway in sight and can meet your minimums. You continue to fly over the runway and enter a standard pattern turn to the right, fly the pattern and come in for a landing.
