I have just downloaded the free GotFriends “Avitars” from their site (including dogs/cats etc!) after watching a Youtube video in which it showed them sitting in the copilot seat of the default DA40NG. This led me to believe that when installed, and selected as the copilot avatar, they would be visible from inside the cockpit.
However, they are not. The Youtube video gives no clue on how they are visible from inside the aircraft in a first person view. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?
Should work. There’s a general setting somewhere to show the passenger from inside. That needs to be on.
It’s much more fun having the doggo be the pilot anyway though!
As far as I know, there is no setting in FS2020 to do what you describe. Certain addon aircraft can do it, but not default aircraft. Happy to be proven wrong.
Seems you are right, very strange. I thought there was, I must’ve gotten something mixed up.
In that case the dog should show up as soon as you select him as a copilot/passenger. Have you tried with different planes, including ones that let you control copilot visibility?
I have only two planes (both addons) where the copilot is visible by default, and they show in these two planes. However, the demo I saw had the default FS2020 DA40NG so it MUST somehow be possible.
If you ask chatgpt it suggests some hacks to make it work. I think I’ve only seen it in add ons that allow it too. I mainly used them as pilot
