When there are gaps in the magenta line, try this: call up the flight plan on the MFD and delete each “discontinuity”.

Integration with the World Map is still there and it’s not broken, it’s actually UNBROKEN now. It acts as the real units do and it’s not reasonable to expect the fidelity to be decreased just because the “casual users” aren’t willing to put in 15 minutes to learn how to operate it properly. There is a wealth of info out there on how to operate it and it’s up to YOU to do the work.

I made this exact same argument almost verbatim when the AAU1 update nearly ruined my enjoyment of the sim, so I fully understand the frustration and is why I made that video to help others after I finally figured it out (much of that thanks to another member here). When people bring up these concerns, we need more of that and less “read a complex manual that a casual user will barely understand.”

So I think we have all agreed now that the title of this thread is factually incorrect. GPS navigation (in the game) is working correctly and as intended. If anyone wants to argue about whether the sim should be accurate or casual, they should start a new thread (or participate in the several existing ones on that topic) and close this one as solved.

To be fair, we haven’t had confirmation from the OP that this was the problem, or if it was resolved.

I guess user error here, deleting waypoints etc helps clean up the plan. I had no idea to do this as it always worked before without input from me. Thanks again for the help

SU 13, 1.34.16.0
One catch is for the CJ4:
Discontinuity 00000 as the 1st waypoint on the LEGS page.
Do not delete because the AP will not follow the Flight Plan.
Either click the waypoint below it and click it to replace it.
Or type a new waypoint and replace the Discontinuity 00000.

Don’t know about other planes.
