Yes. Ive got fiber 250/250 but I often have stutters in FS due to ethernet or ms-server (?) issues. It could differ a lot from day to day, or hour by hour. I guess maxed out ehternet is normal when flying?
Firstly, if using DX12, Windows Task Manager doesn’t always show GPU utilisation correctly. I don’t use DX12 but when I have tried it, mine shows single digit % use, vs over 80% with DX11.
Secondly, do you have some sort of frame cap enabled, like through nVidia control panel or vsync in MSFS. If so, try turning them off.
Finally, what does your per-logical processor CPU performance graph look like? eg. mine looks like:
Hi. No, Vsync off. Only thing in NCP is the filtering set to 16X. Nothing else. Mostly HIgh settings exept for top two settings, that is ultra. 150 Terrain and 100 objects (low?).
I would not use Task manager - it’s notoriously incorrect and only invites more questions. Use HWinfo for hardware reporting. Run MSFS for 10 minutes while HWinfo is in the background, then post a screenshot of HWinfo. I don’t believe for one second that GPU utilization is 16% on a 3060 Ti running at 1440p.
Why not? My CPU utilization dropped from “Often maxed out” to 16% when I installed a pair of Arc 770LEs. As a bonus, the CPU, which normally ran at less than body temp but went up to 50°C before the card upgrades, is now back down to what I consider normal - less than 15° above room temp.
It all depends on how much work the CPU can offload to the GPU(s).
My GPU utilization is currently less than 50% at 8k x 2k, my point being that if you’re cpu-bound, GPU utilization is irrelevant - you’ll never max it out. But clearly, the addition of two arcs dropped both CPU and GPU utilization. By a LOT. Enough that I can’t wait for my next two 65" screens to arrive and run at 16k x 2k widescreen “super panorama mode.” THAT will be immersive.
