Hello All,
My GPU Memory Budget is incorrect for my RTX 2080 Super. Its showing 6.8GB when previously it showed 7.2GB. I am running the latest graphics driver however I am running 1909 Windows instead of 2004. I reinstalled Windows on this PC and decided to leave it at 1909. Is this the reason why?
Edit: I submitted a Zendesk request for this to be looked over. That being said, I will update to 2004 and see if the issue is fixed. If that’s the case, then this is certainly a bug.
Useless. It will be shown in 2004 too. I had used Titan V with 12GB Vram, and I even saw 4~5GB gap between Task Manager’s report and MSFS’s debug info.
Its just weird that it shows 7.2GB before, and now with a Windows fresh install its only showing 6.8GB. I might reinstall my NVIDIA driver.
This will cause me to use more RAM since the simulator will pull from that. I know maybe its reserving some for the operating system. But does it really need that much??
Also, its weird that not many people seem to be having this issue other than me and you.
I got an idea, Im going to check the CFG file and see if I can adjust the value.
Edit: Couldnt find anything in the CFG for this. I’m actually wondering if it really is using all available VRAM, but it just isn’t displaying correctly. I reached 7.1GB on VRAM usage using Developer Mode, and this is over the 6GB that its allotted.
