Since the performances are so different from let’s say the fenix and a GA plane (even the most complex one) I was curious if and how many of you change graphics settings (mainly TLOD) depending on the plane you fly
cheers!

I only do this for the Fenix, it has gotten better with the Block 1 update, and hopefully continues with the Block 2.
Everything else, I run on Ultra, Fenix, I have to start tuning down.
The only plane I have to cripple my settings for is the F28 Professional.
That thing eats compute power like I eat pizza.
I spend some time testing to achieve the optimum performance for my hardware, followed by the occasional tweaks now and then. Apart from that I just leave it alone unless an update to the sim forces me to revise something.
I don’t fly complex airliners nor do I visit large international airports much, but the routine used works well for me.
I don’t change graphics settings per plane, but I don’t fly airliners much so I don’t have the “there’s 25 screens and it slows down the sim” problem.
Yes. TLOD has such a large influence over performance that it is the only graphics setting I regularly change. It depends on whether I’m airliner flying (180-200) or GA flying (upto and including 300).
Asobo really should split out TLOD into different settings sliders. I miss having the granularity of setting various scenery elements to my particular preferences. Something like this would be great:
good point. To me is sometimes a pain to see bad performance on ground coupled by more than excellent ones when i get into the air; the gap can be astounding
