all, this all new to me so any help would be much appreciated. I bought a pc just to play this game, is there any settings anymore would recommend as I’m running everything on ultra with the below set up which is more than good enough or so I’ve been told. Just a bit disappointed with some of the graphic or am I expecting to much?

Not a disaster for me at all, I’m absolutely loving every minute of it

depends, what resolution are you running in. Looking at your system I would expect 4K?
Also, your internet connection is pretty important, since the scenery is streamed to you. What’s your connection speed?
Would also help if you show a screenshot of what you’re disappointed with, so we can see if it’s normal, or something is wrong.

What is the resolution of your monitor? Pretty sure you do not want a scaling of 170 at any resolution. Try setting scaling to 100 and make the resolution match your monitor and work from that as a starting point.
To get an idea what scaling actually does, google “FS2020 render scaling”.

I see no downgrade. Two photos; the first with resolution at 1920 X1080 with the Rendering at 170.
Second one at 4K with rendering at 70.

Umm yes…welcome to the never ending loop of hardware & flight sims.
It would just be too much of a perfect world if the software was extremely optimized to use every bit of firepower of the hardware.
Some of us have been chasing this dragon for 20+ years now several CPUs and GPUs later!

Have you played at launch? have you played in the beta? have you played before japan patch?
The game is different graphically from the patches. And you know it.
It has lost graphic quality, terrain distance, clouds, AA, etc.

It’s not PC Elitism. What we have in this forum is 2 small, very vocal groups who are as equally out to lunch as the other.
You have the Asobo fellaters who will comb threads and flag anything that has anything negative to say about the state of the sim, no matter how constructive, respectful or factual it is. Saying anything negative is the equivalent of insulting their religion and they will gang up on you to silence you.
Then you have the opposite side who incessantly whine and moan and will be in every thread flagging posts of people who are happy with the state of the sim or just ■■■■■■■■ and complaining. Many of these folks claim unplayability, but often the problems are of their own doing (ancient system specs and running in ultra settings, over-overclocked hardware to the point of instability, pirated OS, badly configured AV / Firewalls). And if they can’t enjoy this game on their own terms, they’re going to make ■■■■ sure that they flag posts that don’t fall in line with their views.
In other words, it’s much like politics on the Internet. It’s best to just ignore them, don’t take things personally, and go about your business like they didn’t exist.
In any case, just ignore it and enjoy yourself, friend.
Back on topic, anyone who’s played since launch will have noticed a degradation in graphics quality over time. I know I have. It’s nowhere near as bad as the doom and gloom team claim, but it’s noticeable. Despite that though, it’s still by far the most graphically rich flight sim out there at the moment. Even sims used by airlines don’t have this level of graphical fidelity.

This sim is VERY demanding on your system, even with beast-level hardware like that. You have the best-case scenario there, and still you’re going to see some issues.
Unfortunately, the sim is very much still a work in progress and is limited by CPU at this moment in time. Even with your top of the line CPU, it’s not able to feed that GPU fast enough to reach its potential.
Be patient. We’re expecting CPU optimization in the next patch in about 10 days from now that will hopefully help with that.
I am trying to, but he hasn’t responded yet. Not much we can do if he doesn’t respond.

The reality is his sim will never look like this even with his heavy fire powered hardware.
No one but the dev’s promotional sim looks like this for now
