GREAT solution/alternative for ground steering with rudders if you have a Honeycomb Alpha Yoke!

Ok so for a while I’ve been looking for a good way to control rudders. I have rudder foot pedals but I don’t keep them connected and for spacing reasons I kind of just stopped using them. This being the case I’ve been looking for a good way to control a plane’s rudders. I’ll admit I don’t often use rudders in the air so this is mainly for taxiing on the ground. I’ve tried to use keyboard keys and buttons on the yoke itself but those of course suck as it’s not analog input. Finally it hit me!

Solution: So the trick is to use a shift button. I have my shift button assigned to the button on the front of the left side of the yoke. What I essentially did was to make it so that when I hold down the shift button on the yoke, I can then turn the yoke itself (giving me full analog control btw) and it switches from controlling the ailerons to controlling the yoke. It’s awesome and exactly what I needed. I’m just not sure why I didn’t think of it earlier. Anyway, to the 12 ppl I helped, ENJOY! :sob:

Ty ty yay…I was having the same problem and this solved it.
Also if you dont want to have to hold a button as a SHIFT Key you can instead use one of the Switches,[17-18] I used [The White Switch].

Then you can simply Switch ON and use your Yoke for the Rudder and Switch OFF to resume.

Thanx again and to KealaNikNak for the help
