Description of the issue: I am having constant ground texture distortions when on the ground. See image

No, I did not.

No airport third party installed

Every time.

• I also have displacement mapping enabled, and see no sign of those artefacts. Another thread mentions VR as a possible cause. Turning VR off, then toggling displacement mapping removes the spikes.

Thanks, I will give these adjustments a try. In VR I have had no issues.

I had similar issues at EGLL. Moving camera sometimes cleared some of the colours.

Intel i13700k and Nvidia 4070 TI. New drivers 576.28

It was on inibuilds EGLL. Didn’t saw that problem on other airports so I assumed its tlraleted to 3dr party scenery.

Saw this multiple times yesterday, thought it had something to do with the PMDG 777. Not using any 3rd party scenery/airports. Switching through my custom internal views clears them.

At several MSFS2024 airports the same issue, no difference between handcrafted or 3rd party

All EGLL related add-ons disabled or uninstalled. Base EGLL (not Gaya Sim) from MSFS 2024.

  1. Set graphics TLOD to 400
  2. Free Flight at EGLL select parking spot 581
  3. Go into external or cockpit view and do rotations around the aircraft per my video

Well, looks like it’s an nVidia driver issue (not surprisingly given nVidia seem be all in on AI now and GPUs a distant past).

Made a quick video on my other PC Same Ultra Settings with TLOD = 400 (no FSR):

AMD 9950X3D

X870E chipset

64GB RAM

AMD 7900XTX (v25.6.1) GPU

As you can see, no issue … hopefully Asobo/MS have a direct channel to nVidia to get their drivers fixed.

I’m also seeing this with 400 TLOD, but not on 200 TLOD. I’ve now got a Nvidia 5080FE, but it also happened with my 3090, both with the latest drivers and 566.36. These are screenshots in IniBuilds EGLL, but I’ve seen the artifacts at other airports using high TLOD settings.

Ok so it seems the culprit is the NVIDIA Driver…

It’s certainly not the Nvidia driver for me, I’ve been seeing the spikes in VR for months over different builds and drivers, I can also see gaps in tiles sometimes with imposed image underneath

• lates nvidia driver 576.88. 5090 RTX, 5800x3d. 6000 MHz 64 GB RAM. Graphic is maxed out. Fresh windows installation. Fresh MSFS 2024 installation.

I also have them. They’re not colorful (always terrain colored) but they pop up at most airports

Same problem here. 14900k and rtx 5090 with 7000mt 48gb RAM. Seems like vram usage over 22gb makes it worse - enabling dlss which drops vram usage to 19gb seems to resolve most of it. Also saw it at KDEN, very similar screens to OP.

Description of issue:

Very similar images to OP, at same airport.

This has been discussed in a few treads: typically this is due to Displacement Mapping being on. See thread HERE Turning Displacement Mapping off in both 2D and VR should solve this issue.

Didn’t solve it for me, if I have TLOD at 400 I get the problem, at 200 I don’t.

Hmm, so maybe not a “silver bullet” after all. Did you delete your Rolling Cache by any chance? Not sure if that would change anything so just on the off chance…

I don’t use Rolling Cache, and delete stuff like the Nvidia cache after each driver update. I also tried various drivers both with my old 3090 and my new 5080. It appears to be an issue with high TLOD for me. Doesn’t happen all the time, but if I switch quickly between FREE CAM and RESUME I get it, and then if I move around the spikes pop in and out. It doesn’t seem happen with all the scenery addons.

I have this weird behaviour sometimes since SU3 at some areas.
