ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
The landing light beam in the Grumman Albatross G111 does not track the position of the landing lights.
Although the left & right wing lights themselves can be rotated using the switches in the cockpit, the light beam itself can remain pointing vertically down, irrespective of the position of the landing light. In the screenshot below, one can see the light pointed forward, but the light beam does not reflect that.
If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
Grumman Albatross G111, but may affect other aircraft.
[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
No 3rd-Party or Community Addons (default installation) / Yes
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
First noticed in SU3 v1.5.4.0, but probably has been present before that. According to the developer of the aircraft, this issue is intermittent. In this post, the developer states:
[quote=“Ramasurinen, post:535, topic:667391”]
Yes this is an occasional bug that I cannot fix myself unfortunately. It’s an issue with the new modular simobject system during initial load of the plane. Native aircraft in 2024 are assembled from pieces in a way, and the landing lights are at the very end of a long chain of nodes, including wing flex.Sometimes during load they do not initialize correctly and the light effect does not attach and animate properly with its parent node. I have tried everything possible on my end to fix it but to no avail. It’s up to Asobo to fix this one. The only workaround is to restart the flight. That fixes it 99% of the time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
- In free flight, select the Grumman Albatross G111, choose to start at any airport runway, with weather set to clear skies (just for convenience) and time to any time at night - e.g. midnight local time.
- In the cockpit, ensure the landing lights are on. Toggle the switches that adjust the direction of the lights. Switch to external view & notice how the light beam continues to point straight down at the runway under the aircraft. The light does not point forward to illuminate the runway in front of the aircraft.
