Gsync Vsync

Hello I have a 32 inch 144hz monitor with adaptive sync technology. On the NVIDIA panel Gsync is enabled is this normal?
Do I have to disable Vsync in game and enable it in Nvidia panel
Thanks

I have the same type of monitor and hertz.

My sim is absolutely fluid this way:
I run gsync enabled. I have Vsync ‘controlled by application’ at the Nvidia control panel. And in sim I have Vsync enabled at 50% (sometimes 30% around areas like Los Angeles).

Word to the wise: please be absolutely sure to uninstall Nvidia Geforce Experience as dumping that one upped me about 15 fps. If you need post processing filters I can certainly recommend the Reshade file FlightSim.

Is that for all users or just those messing with Vsync and Gsync?

I’m a new user on PC and have got GeForce installed.

I really don’t think by simply having GeForce experience installed lowers FPS. Now if you’re using it in place of reshade than yes…it will lower FPS

yep same, 50% vsync/refresh rate in sim really makes it smooth on 100hz monitor

Is this with the most recent GeoForce Experience version? Have you opened a problem with NVIDIA about this? This would be a very severe bug! If anything in MSFS caused a 15 FPS drop, people would either be screaming for a hotfix tomorrow or they would dump MSFS for a better performing simulator.

It wasn’t terrible, but went from about 28 to 40. You hardly see the difference visually, but you do notice in in fluidness when moving around.

*Edit: There are several posts here about it on the forum. I’m not selling you anything, you can perfectly decide for yourself to give it a try and see what happens or not. That’s all up to you. (I didn’t really believe it either when I saw others writing about it, but found the proof in me puddin’)

imo, you should have g-sync enabled in nvcp, v-sync set to ON in nvcp, and then leave v-sync off in-game settings.

my connection is hdmi not displayport

Gsync on and vsync on in NVCP (I recommend set vsync to fast). In game vsync to OFF. That’s the way gsync should work.

Thanks what do you mean by Vsync to fast in NVPC ? That’s right with HDMI connection and adaptative sync ?

I believe you are going to want to use the displayport if you want the g-sync to work with your display.

Ihave no display port cable so do I have to get Gsync off?

Shouldn’t have to turn g-sync off…it just may not work.
If you want the benefit of g-sync grab a displayport cable.
