Guess where?

If you have 850, it takes over two hours to get from here to Sturgis.

Is that water held in place by a dam?

Here’s the live weather version…

Since you might not believe me I had to cheat and select a weather preset…

Could have given me a closer starting point than Sturgis, it took me 2 hours to fly here! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The dam just north is the Dworshak Dam in Idaho.

You are in a right location! :+1:
Almost middle of the Nez Perce Reservation. Nearest bigger airfields are Lewiston KLWS (I had a clue ready for it - F1 driver minus five letters…) and Orofino Muni S68.

EDIT: View to north, Dvorshak Dam and south end of Dvorshak Reservoir middle of the picture:

At first glance, this looks like one of those Italian hill towns, but the helo suggests France…

The heli is a clue but not a straightforward one.

You are definitely in the right region.

Stab in the dark, Guess…French Riviera area medieval town Eze

Staff Edit:

Niente baguette qui, amico mio.

Monteleone Rocca Doria, Sardegna, Italy
Hours and hours searching hilltop towns in Google image search mostly in France without luck. Well, that was a wrong country.
Let’s try Italy just browsing Google Maps trying to found small lakes and finally!

While waiting for confirmation from Wombat, let’s continue.
I’m sure someone here has seen this location lately…

BTW: water seems to be bugged here, surface is solid!

Well done Zwoop68! :tada:
Austria or Switzerland would be my 1st guess. Those slopes in the background look…barren :slightly_frowning_face:

Excellent well done! It’s a really spectacular little place that I discovered decades ago when driving around Sardegna, great view from the top.

The French Robinson R22 was able to fly from Corsica, France, have a nice scenic flight around northern Sardegna, and then fly back to France again without refuelling. :smirk:

And nope, you are too south.

…in Youtube…

Let’s keep this running and look up to the south:

Next clue coming maybe tomorrow…

I’m focused elsewhere right now so cannot search for this, but this post should allow @Zwoop68 to continue.
