One of those high altitude lakes in Tibet? Not sure you’d be able to get a C172 high enough to fly over some of them though.
That‘s it👏
Your turn
I didn‘t fly around there, I just spawned there to take the screenshot. The lake‘s at 12,800 ft so it should be possible, just about.
Ok. I will have to dig up a screenshot later.
Edit: Oh wait… You were talking to @sehnsedahamses… Ok. Then I won’t dig up a screenshot later.
There are some others that are up above 16,000 or more. I once flew around the edge of Tibet IRL (as a passenger). It’s the only place I have ever flown where I was able to plainly see vehicles driving around on the roads below from the flight levels. (Normally they are just specs on the interstate or whatever, but when I was over Tibet, I could make out what looked like military trucks driving on the dirt roads below us.) There were also some really big peaks that seemed to tower up close to our altitude.
Wow, nice win! I think that has been the hardest one so far! Your turn
…seems like a 3rd alien has arrived from the mothership!
……
.
It’s in Chile. The big volcano on the left is called the Cerro Aucanquilcha.
Thats correct ! There is an small airport there in Ollagüe wich is present in msfs. Enjoy flying in this beautiful landscapes.
If I got another chance I will prepare a special one for you .
Next turn……
Monte Victoria, Málaga, Spain.
Yes, exactly.
I’m pretty sure it’s the Kouris Reservoir and that village is Alassa in Cyprus, even though it looks slightly different in Bing Maps.
You’re right… indeed the lake is not exactly the same on bing / google maps.
Well done !
You are another level, Theduck38 as well.
I guess both last riddles in the mediteranean sea and tortured maps but your speed is to fast for me. Especially the last one looks so anywhere, I am curious how you find it…
Tapping into the motherships’ alien hive mind, for sure
I just searched for a reservoir in a hilly area that has this fork-like shape shown in the screenshot. My first guess was the Duoro Valley in Portugal. Then I looked at some lakes in Spain, then Greece, and that’s how I ended up in Cyprus. For me the best way to search is using the Windows Maps app with a mouse. That way you can zoom around very quickly. The biggest advantage of Maps is that it uses the same imagery as MSFS so when you search in the right area you normally spot the place rather quickly.
Is it Iceland ?
I guess that too but for me its doesnt look like Iceland and I search it over and over but neither found circular agricultures, maybe possible due to geothermal energy, nor such an bowed lake.
My best guess now is central asia again but is so huge…
