Lachlan Island, Australia.
As I am pretty sure of it, I will post next (easy) one…
(sorry for the plane paintings… just ugly !)
Is the Greek flag livery a clue though?
For anyone wondering, that would have to be Lachlan Island, WA not Lachlan Island, TAS.
FYI every state in Australia reuses the same names as everywhere else, sometimes more than once. The names are usually reused from European places, or else after people who were notable at the time.
Everywhere you look there is a Flinders this or Flinders that, named after Matthew Flinders.
There was very little imagination used, places typically refer back to their source. eg. Brighton SA, VIC, QLD are all on the coast. The suburb of Brighton in Adelaide is adjacent to the suburb of Hove in Adelaide, just like in England. Both suburbs have much nicer beaches than their UK namesakes, with a lot more sun and a lot less rain.
It is Lachlan Island, the one in Western Australia.
Good old England - always easy to recognize. It‘s Portsmouth.
That’s it ; take your ping-pong turn
Maybe we should let you two have this thread and we can start a new thread with easier photos for us mere mortals to have a go at.
I guess it’s time for a hint. It‘s in the Mediterranean.
So you’re really tempting me to do a bit of legwork here, except I’m just loading a flight in Alaska and I’m thinking that is probably more fun.
I was right, it was lots of fun! Too late now, someone else can grab this while I’m asleep.
It’s Beirut, Libanon
It is Beirut. Well done.
Ok. Looks like a hint is in order.
Try Africa
Lüderitz, Namibia… I have been twice over it without seeing before you gave the hint…
That’s correct.
Yeah I know exactly what you mean. Has happened to me several times.
