Hi there, quick question to see if I’m the only person dealing with this. When I look at the A320neo or 747-800 in hangar view, the only two views available in Set View are the cinematic “play” button and the cockpit. The middle one, where you can manually orbit around, is not selectable. But only for those two planes - for all other planes it’s available. Oh, except for a 737 free add-on aircraft, that one I can’t do the orbit view either. Is it something with airliners? I’m stumped. I’d really like to be able to browse all the beautiful airline liveries manually. Thanks in advance for any ideas!
This is an issue when you switch to a different livery while in Hangar mode. The only way for the middle button to be usable is you do the following steps:
- Go to Hangar View.
- Select the livery you want to view.
- Exit Hangar View.
- Re-Enter Hangar View.
- The middle button should now be working.
If you switch to another livery while being in the hangar view, the middle button will become unusable again. So you need to redo from Step 3, and onwards.
So in conclusion, the middle button only works when you enter the hangar view and goes straight to the middle button. If you switch to different aircraft or different liveries, the middle button will become inoperational, and you have to exit the hangar view, and enter it again and the middle button should be usable as long as you don’t switch to another aircraft/livery.
Yup, that’s what is was. Perfect, thank you! Now it’s just a teeny bit irritating but not a biggie. Maybe they’ll fix it eventually. I also noticed that it’s unselectable when you first go into hangar view too, you just have to go out & back in.
Weird that it’s only for the big iron - all the planes smaller than 737 are fine, you can change liveries within the hangar view. Wonder why that is.
Anyhow, thanks again. Now if they can just fix the 3rd party liveries on the stock 747 so they show something besides all-white “Generic Airlines”…I’ve read the string on that.
They’re probably not going to do that. If they changed how the 747 texture mapping is done, then all third party textures that was drawn with the old mapping will now no longer work. So the third party desinger has to recreate their liveries to follow the new texture mapping.
