i bought the FSR500 last year for 2020.
on 2024, i see the FSR 500 in my marketplace listed as “Disabled.” when i click to enable it, it says ‘restart required’. however after i restart it still says disabled again. i’ve tried a few times with no luck.
i was able to successfully enable some sceneries this way but i’m not sure why that particular plane won’t enable. just wanted to see if it’s a problem with my system or if it’s not officially released yet or what.

This happens when your content.xml gets corrupted.
Most of the cases i seen is because people used addons linker or similar to link the msfs 2020 content directly into msfs 2024.
To fix this, ensure nothing related to FSR500 is inside your msfs 2024 community folder, then, find your msfs 2024 content.xml, edit it, find all the entries related to FSR500, remove them, save, start msfs 2024, enable the FSR500, restart.
That should get you going, had few customers with this symptoms after manually copying the products from 2020 (not supported, guys please don’t do it..), and others by linking community folder from 2020 to 2024 which has the same effect.

Thanks so much. Not to have one of my favorite aircraft working was so frustrating. Also, frustrating that this easy fix is not well known. I have other aircraft that have the issue. I noticed with most aircraft from 2020 that some of the features don’t work in 2024 like opening engines and doors and walking through the wings. Are these issues able to be fixed?
Not sure if i followed your question.
Any msfs 2020 is working in backwards compatibility mode, as such, they will work as they did in msfs 2020.
They cannot be forward compatible mode, is impossible, the source code of these aircraft are the same as msfs 2020 code base, and as a result they cannot use native msfs 2024 technology like external click spots, walks around, career mode, etc.
They will work just like they did in msfs 2020, it is why they are called backwards compatible products.
In order to use the new technology, we have to fully convert to msfs 2024 standards and submit these as updates.
I have explained all these via my discord server many times (my official support channel). These conversations are time intensive consuming measured in cases in months.
I am not planning to charge for these upgrades, but I am not providing ETAs either because if I sit right now just doing conversions to full 2024 standards, I might end up sitting doing nothing else for 8-12 months (3 planes x 4 months each), meaning I would end up in a very bad position financially.
The current priority is to work full-time on my upcoming phenom 300E, I did a huge amount of effort and work to make all my products msfs 2024 compatible at launch date, and they do work perfectly, so I hope the message that my customer base matter is clear, they do, they are my priority always, but if I am not careful at this juncture, the FSREBORN brand could be at risk, this business of being a 3rd party developer requires always being releasing new products as otherwise you lose your position in the market and at the same time, your income shrinks massively, selling addons is not like people imagine, is a model with diminishing returns, as time goes by, your sales figures drop dramatically.
So is now time for me to push forward with new products in order to ensure my company can continue to operate in healthy numbers. I am sure many of you would love to see many more of my upcoming plans and project right?
