I’m having trouble setting the custom cameras. I set the controls much like they were in 2020, but assigned shift + FX to save a custom camera, and then using the numpad to load custom cameras. Sometimes they work, but often they put me outside of the plane. Does anyone have any experiences with this?
It’s strange, some of them work and some of them don’t. I feel like I’m missing something. I’ve made sure the bindings don’t conflict with other controls.

I only use custom cameras in the cockpit, mapped them all to numpad numbers, but for whatever reason it doesnt let me use numpad 5. Just another annoying bug I suppose. (edit: now fixed it by using alternative bind)
But custom cameras should work.
Oh and yeah, saving a custom camera adds additional FOV for some mysterious reason. Another bug probably.
Check that your NUM Lock is not activated. This has been the culprit for me several times.
I think it has something to do with the cockpit camera controls in the “general” tab. It sets the default cockpit camera position. I’m trying to make the pilots view moved back and zoomed out.
thats not the issue, like i mentioned It works perfectly for all num lock numbers except 5. If you want to try you can see if you manage to save and load a custom camera on num keybad #5.
No probs for me. NUM 5 is always my FMC view and works fine as long as I don’t hit the NUM Lock key by mistake.
Have you checked the control mapping using input in settings? Could be mapped elsewhere.
I will try numlock. however now i’ve somehow lost the ability to look around while holding right mouse. Any ideas on that? it is still bound in controls
edit: nevermind. somehow activated home cockpit mode.
yes i cleared everything before binding them. It lets me bind “save custom camera 5” to shift 5, and “load custom camera 5” to Num 5. I can see it bound in the list. But nothing happens when i press num 5 in game, and also it doesnt show up if I “search by input” Num 5. So something fishy is going on.

Hah I manage to trick it, it wouldnt recognize Num 5, so I saved it under the alternative bind - and somehow that made it recognize it!
So that part “solved” for me at least now. Buggy, but solved. 
wellp, spoke too soon. It works as intended now in the TBM, but in the B738M the custom saved cameras goes wild on load (to somewhere else).
sometimes these games require creative solutions. good work.
well, i thought it worked. flew around in career, then started another free flight and its not working again. ugh.
IMO Custom cameras are slightly bugged ATM. This post of mine in another thread sums up my findings.
yeah. restart seemed to fix it.
