Please can we have the ability to choose between running and cold and dark wherever we load in the sim? Currently the plane starts cold and dark at a parking space, running on the runway, or at a helipad.
I believe the user should be able to choose which state they would like to start in so you can start on a helipad cold and dark, start at a parking place with the engine running, or even on the runway cold and dark.
I think having this feature for parking spots and helipads would suit some users. I disagree with starting cold and dark on a runway, certainly if you are in multiplayer.
Also, helicopters appear to start cold and dark if you select a helicopter parking spot but with the engine running if it is a helipad. While this better than it was before I agree it would make more sense if it were possible for the user to determine if they start cold and dark on helipads as well.

You can, I’ve been doing it all the time the past few days. Or did I miss something here?
You can spawn in any custom location worldwide, including placing your aircraft next to the runway on airfields with no ramp spots.
Once your custom location is set as departure, click on the ‘Airborne’ dropdown and select ‘On ground - Shut down’ to start cold & dark.
No you are correct in that you can do it with a custom start but not when selecting a parking spot, helipad etc. Spawning next to them with a custom start is an option but not ideal.
