Hi there, I am having trouble with my keyboard…I can’t type properly. When it type 1 letter I get 2 letters at the same time..How do I fix this? Also when I use the space bar the spaces between are really separated. Any help is appreciated. TIA
Is the keyboard plugged in via USB or is it a laptop (built-in) keyboard?
If it’s USB, try the keyboard on another computer. If it does the same thing on a different PC, then I would guess that the keyboard is the problem. If you have had the keyboard for a while, it may have dust or debris in the keyboard, causing it to trip the switch multiple times. Or the key is getting stuck and not sliding properly in the mount.
I get this often with my DAS mechanical keyboard. The ‘W’ key will often repeat, and funnily enough it did just that as I typed “will”. The solution is to lift the key cap off with a key puller, then blow out the area, and it may also be worth using some isopropyl alcohol to clear it completely.
I usually have to do this once a month or so.
