what I find more difficult to understand is why the developers themselves try to sell you that it is fixed…don’t they realize that it is not true? don’t we as users test the simulator and see what the reality is?

Who knows. Did we expect to see improvements of hard transitions in an advertised dynamic weather engine to start with?
I took a short flight over Paris yesterday and the live weather was rather clear, until suddenly the city was covered by fog and the whole screen went white. There was absolutely no blending.
Fixed in Sim Update 11.
