Heading does not work when autopilot turned on

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Sometimes when heading mode is selected after the autopilot is turned on. The plan flies about 140 degrees off the selected heading. For example, when the heading bug is set to 140 degrees the plane files north at about 0 degrees.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Intermittently. Nothing I can determine that indicates the problem will occur

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Set heading bug to runway heading

  2. Takeoff as normal

  3. Turn autopilot on

  4. Turn on heading mode

  5. If the problem occurs, the plane makes a left turn -140 degrees from the selected heading

Check to make sure the gyro compass is aligned with the magnetic compass. I think there is an assistance option that automatically does this.

If it already is then yah I’d call that a bug.

The only gryo setting I found is in Settings→Assistances→Gyro Drift Compensation

This has been set when the problem manifests.

I’m not familiar with your airplane.

What is that the red indicator at 140 degrees?
The heading indicator points to 90 degrees?
