Helicopter agricultural mission field problems

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

  • Most fields selected by the algorithm are just way too small to be realistically/economically be sprayed by helicopter. This may be due to the inability to refill once the spray tank runs out, see Helicopter agricultural mission ends when out of spray instead of refilling
  • Way too often fields have trees, houses, even big hills in the middle
  • Seem to prefer picking fields with powerlines across or right next to them
  • The blue field boundary markings do not follow the terrain, in hilly areas the blue lines often not visible at all as they are underground
  • The algorithm rarely picks a rectangle shaped field, instead we got some very weird polygons, that don’t match the boundaries visible on the texture

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
yes

To illustrate the point, when I finally got closer to the US Midwest, was hoping to be able to work on nice, big fields. Nope, this is what this marvel of software engineering picks up, the smallest one, with a tree in the middle:

SU2: The good news is, there seem to be less fields with obstacles on them.

Generating the field boundary is still a problem, no idea how a field with such clearly visible, high contrast boundaries ends up as an irregular polygon, missing a big part of the field, overlapping another.
