MSFS and Cowan helicopters have very different controllability depending on the joystick or controller.
Using a high-precision joystick makes the helicopter stable and easy to fly.
Cheap joysticks are overly sensitive and move left and right, making it unstable.
When I flew helicopters with the T-Flight Hotas.x and T.16000m, it felt like I was flying an entirely different helicopter.
The only way to stabilize a helicopter using a low-precision joystick is to reduce the cyclic control sensitivity.
Aircraft developers should try test flights with cheap joysticks, as many users are using them.
I have the same result. Things go well in free flight, and other training but this one, geez⦠same exact thing happens to me. Came here to see if its a bug
Do you have assists enabled on free flight ?
I donāt have assists on Free Flight and still having the same issue when trying the training, it is so frustrating as I do my best to be gentle with the collective and controls but no matter how sensitive I am I cannot regain control of the training session, and I donāt think I will need to spend extra money out in a Helicopter peripheral controller as I doubt I will fly them enough to warrant paying for it.
Is this even possible with an Xbox controller?
If not, there should be a warning message to tell the player they need a proper joystick for this mission.
