Correct…for most helicopters in the sim. You use the throttle during startup and during runup checks. The Schweizer S300CBi and the Bell 47J are the only helicopters in the sim that I can think of that don’t have governors, but they have an option to use a virtual governor.
You would also need throttle control for practicing autorotations, but it’s really only working for reciprocating engine helis right now anyway.
