Hello, I leave this report about the wind that was reaching LELC in Muciar, Spain and suddenly at a height of about 3000 feet a wind of more than 130 knots came from one side when the metar only said that there were 6 knotsstrong text
I leave an image at the bottom of the screenshot in the GPS you can clearly see the windsstrong text
Me too in southern Japan, over 100 knots and the aircraft was almost hovering! I turned off live weather so I could make some headway. First time Iād ever noticed the trees blowing in the wind.
Yeah just finished a trip to Geneva ā¦ thought Iād hit the dreaded āActive pauseā by accident when I appeared to become stationary at 3000 agl on the approach. Tuned into ATIS ā¦ turns out I was battling a quartering headwind of 177kts. Pretty harsh in a C310. Since I was flying in VR and with a motion base - it was a pretty da-mn wild ride!
Yeah I just had this weird bug flying the F-18 over the east coast of Scotland earlier this evening. The sea was ridiculously high and the plane was flying almost sideways at one point. Iām glad others are reporting it as it was really confusing me.
@Jummivana Since this seems to be a global issue, I suggest to change the title to something like: āunrealistic high windspeeds at low altitudeā or something similar.
I also experienced really high winds with live weather when flying in north wales earlier this evening. The first thing I noticed when the sim loaded was the grass looking like waves, and trees in the background being blown violently. I would guess the winds were around 100 knots if not higher. Just before loading I noted the wind was supposed to be 4knots at about 248 degrees. Was almost like the wind speed and direction had been swapped!
Same at KJFK. A >100kt crosswind that came up suddenly at around 1000 ft AGL on the approach (at the runway level it was normal again). Iām on SU9, so this is not a SU10 bug.
Same thing here about 1445 eastern in KCLE, launched to a gentle wind that progress to over 100 knts cross wind, I love the crabbing, but where was the rest of the Hurricane? ;p
Same yesterday with the pmdg 737. I took off just fine, but then the engines started behaving oddly, by spooling down. I also noticed that there were contrails as well, at 500ftā¦ So temps, must have also been acting up. Turning off live weather fixed this problem for me.
