I have lots of control bindings for my joystick and throttle which work on every aircreaft I’ve used. When I try a new aircraft the only thing I have to do is assign the custom camera views I like.
UPDATE- I reloaded the sim and now many, not all, do work. There are still a few- Toggle Taxi Lights, and the Quick Looks left and right which we assigned to my hat switcdh. I t now gives me cabin views… My control bindings show as the same as they were for other aircraft.
But I just got the iFly 737 Max and many of my bindings don’t work . I For instance, my Autopilot on/off toggle, Approach mode, even Quick Look left and right in the cockpit (hat switch). How can I use my binding with this aircraft? Surely there must be a way.
It’s all in the manual, read and learn.
In the manual (which I DID read), the setup for the iFly is no different than what I did when setting up FS2024 initially, creating my own profiles from a blank state, and most of my bindings for the PMDG (for example) work with the iFly. What I am trying to figure out is why the other bindings (Taxi lights for example) do not respond. Do I need to create a specific airplane profile and add that binding, even though it is already in my bindings???
So I spent all morning messing with settings, bindings, etc. to get the iFly to behave/respond like other high level aircraft (PMDG for example). It’s too much work. I never can understand why a deverloper has to make their product dso “unique” that it isn’t more “plug and play”. The PMDG installed easily and responded to virtually every binding I already had for other jets. Then I added a couple for it. Plus, it keeps giving me sever error warnings when I try to import a Simbrief plan. Again, it was no problem with PMDG (and I am fairly experienced with all this stuff. ) I will stick with the PMDG for now. I know it’s not perfect but - more time flying, less time fiddling with stuff.
Not sure what’s going on. I fly both the iFly and PMDG 737s with the same bindings without issue. What type of controls do you have? Perhaps give some specific examples.
Check for double bindings, in my case my keyboard alone had a zillion. I cleared them all and made it for all planes and problems were solved.
