When I try to download Microsoft Flight Simulator after i deleted it it won’t get past fsbase cgl and fspasckage. Every time I try, it downloads all of the fs bases and all the fs packages and once it is done decompressing them all, it says please wait and then it deletes everything it just downloaded. Please help me I have been trying to get this fixed for at least a month so please help me.
hello, you have to empty your community file
Personally I Temporarily turn off Antivirus, especially Malware Bytes
Worked for me,
With Malware Byte on, it would often “go into a loop” when downloading “fsbase”
Since I started turning off Malware Bytes, (only when updating MSFS), It has not looped once,

How do I turn
off malware bytes?
I tried this but it didn’t work it just kept redownloading
Right click on it, and then on the Pull down . left click on “Quit Malware Bytes” ( or kill it in Task manager)
Right click on what?
If you are in Windows 10-follow these instructions:
Click on the Up Arrow (if applicable)
![]()
Right Click on Malwarebytes
Click “Quit Malwarebytes”
OR:
Right-Click on your Taskbar and click “Task Manger”
Then click on “Malware Bytes Tray Application” and click “End Task”
Windows 11 should follow the same procedure.
Note to try this at your own risk. Disabling Antivirus is not the smartest thing to do. You should if you choose to disable Malwarebytes, re-enable it the second you are finished doing what you are doing.
I did all of that and it still doesn’t work
Still doesn’t work
Well, as I said, it worked for me, 100% .. and it would have been selfish of me not to share with you.
Sorry it did not work for you .. but hopefully when you find out what does work for you, you will also share your solution with the community.
Now I’ll put my money where my mouth is ----
Based on ideas and suggestion from others here in the forum, there are a number of official Windows test that you can run to verify your system has intact system files.
It may be worth running those tests.
To make it easy (for myself to run those test weekly), I put them into a batch file, that will run them, and save me remembering them and typing them each time.
So I will share that batch file here…
Note: Its a BATCH file, a list of text commands. You can look at it in a text editor, and verify it is not going to do any damage. Google the stuff, and you can check for yourself,
repair.bat.txt (929 Bytes)
Remove the .txt
