Help Needed: Error Message “We could not find your account” When Logging Into the Flight Planner

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue when trying to log into the flight planner in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. After logging in, I receive the following error message:

We could not find your account. We were unable to validate your Xbox account tied to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Some possible reasons might be:

    You have not yet run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and completed the profile setup.
    The Xbox account you have chosen is not the one tied to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
    Authentication services may be temporarily unavailable.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Launched the game and completed the profile setup (though I’m unsure if I may have missed something).
Confirmed that I’m using the correct Xbox account linked to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Checked the Xbox service status on the official page (no issues reported).

Despite these steps, the issue persists. Has anyone experienced this problem or knows how to resolve it?

verified all info matches, services running nominally, experiencing identical issue as DanSim85, any help anyone?

Same to me. Cannot log in to the flight planner. Everything looks fine on my side and the app is connected to the account

I’m also getting a message when trying to access Flight Planner that says “We could not find your account.” I have tied my XBox account to MS Flight Sim 2024.

I’m getting the same issue, I’m playing Flightsim via my Gamepass subscription, not sure if that makes a difference to everyone else.

Was this never sorted? I’ve just tried to log in and am having the same problem.

Edit: I have just read on the interweb that I need to -

1. Open MSFS 2024: Launch the game on your PC.

2. Navigate to Profile Settings: Once the game is open, go to your profile settings. This is usually accessible through the main menu or a user icon.

3. Check Sync Status: In the profile section, there should be an indication of your sync status. Look for messages like “Sync complete”

I have the sim open but cant seem to do (2) “Navigate to Profile Settings.” When I click on my tag, all I get is the setup of the 3D character and nothing to do with my account. No sync status

Anyone give me a click by click tutorial on how to reach something that should be clearly signposted by this UI but isn’t?

August 1, 2025. Same issue, still has not been fixed. Very frustrated. Rather curious why moderators don’t seem to be addressing/responding to this. Trying to be respectful, but very frustrated?

This still appears to be an issues. Removed ad on from community folder and no change.
