Help needed with EXE.xml

There has been a lot written in the past about EXE.xml and it’s known little problems.
I had difficulties getting to run successfully in the past but it had been ok for some months until two days ago when I installed GSX Pro.
It worked initially after the install and and then just stopped. With none of my applications launching at all. I am now having to start everything manually after MSFS starts.

Here is my EXE.xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">

    <CommandLine>
    </CommandLine>
  </Launch.Addon>

  </Launch.Addon>

    <CommandLine>-auto</CommandLine>
    <NewConsole>False</NewConsole>
  </Launch.Addon>
  <Launch.Addon>

  </Launch.Addon>

    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager\couatl64\couatl64_MSFS.exe</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

Can anyone see anything wrong with it or have any other suggestions.
I’ve done the obvious like runninfg sfc /scannow.
Thanks any help would be appreciated

Could you put the file between ``` tags? It will parse the XML

From what I can see your file does make sense from an XML perspective.

Sorry I don’t understand. That is a direct copy and paste of my EXE.xml

I’ve taken the liberty to do it for you :slight_smile:

Now it actually shows all text in the forum post.

Thank you now I understand

Try changing the encoding to UTF-8 instead of Windows-1252. UTF-8 is the standard for xml because it is more portable and can handle all languages. Also, UTF-8 is described in the MSFS SDK documentation as required. MSFS SDK documentation

Thanks for the suggestion I’ll give it a try tomorrow.
