Help needed with FSHud 2.0 and FS Traffic

Hi everyone,

I bought FSHud 2.0 because I’ve been told it was working with any traffic injector or default traffic.
However, I have a lot of issues that I would like to fix, because so far, I can’t have FSHud working correctly.

  1. FS Traffic by itself can generate about 50 planes in an airport. But it looks like FSHud is capping it somehow. I tried to put the traffic setting to 100 aircraft, but I only get like 8 aircraft max in Montreal CYUL or 30 aircraft max in London Heathrow (I get more than that without FSHud). Is there a way I can fix that?
  2. I read somewhere that FSHud should work with default MSFS traffic and live traffic. But it doesn’t seem to work. I thought it was a conflict between MSFS default traffic and FS Traffic, so I disabled FS Traffic, but default traffic is just buggy (appearing, disappearing, appearing, etc.) or goes into the ground. And FSHud doesn’t seems to recognize default traffic.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Have you tried working with FSHud support?

It looks like there are some issues with FS Traffic and FSHud is working on some workaround fixes. Here is the reply I got from support:

Basically there are several problems with FS Traffic - therefore the amount of aircraft is limited.

  1. FS Traffic aircraft registrations are identical (REG NUMBER) - this is something FSHud relies on when intercepting default traffic or FSLTL traffic.
This has already been a workaround on our side (we still didn’t release it to BETA).

  2. It looks like FS Traffic model wingspan is completely not realistic, according to its value - the aircraft wingspan is huge and it takes 3-4 parking spots.
We rely on wingspan value, because there is an issue that Model Radius can be unreliable either - for some Jets it just returns 10 meters while for other aircraft it’s ok.
I need to get into this in more detail in order to workaround this on our side.

So, I will keep an eye out for future versions of FSHud and FS Traffic. Until then, I will keep the default annoying traffic ATC/AI.

Hopefully, I will be able to get more than 10 aircraft spawning at busy airports.

The following issues have been fixed and are now available in the latest production version 2.0.191.

Release notes:

2.0.191 - August 15, 2025

Fixed reading of MSFS 2024 airline parking codes.
Improved AI traffic injection, separation, duplicate interception, and aircraft size detection for better FS Traffic compatibility.
Fixed issues with AI traffic departure flight paths. Fixed duplicate direct-to requests and missing descent instructions.
Resolved issues with vectored SID procedures.

Thanks a lot for the panel zoom factor implementation as it helps a lot in my case.
So, is FSHub 2.0 working ok with FS Traffic now? I own both but haven’t used FS Traffic for a while as I was using BeyondATC. But now tried FSHub 2.0 with MSFS live traffic injector (and FSLTL liveries) and really like its vectoring approach but I usually flight at night, so no much traffic…am I ok switching to FS traffic to use it with FSHud then?

I’m glad to hear the panel zoom factor feature has been helpful for you – thanks for the feedback!
And yes, FSHud does work with FS Traffic, so you’re fine using them together.
