Help Squawking code that ATC is requesting

Hi all,

I’m pretty new to the flight sim scene. I’m doing a flight in a Cessna C408, and while exploring I accidentally turned off my transponder. I turned it back on and ATC is requesting me to squawk 2212.

I clicked XPDR, set to ON, and clicked Code. When I click 2, two 2’s show up and same when I click 1, so I can only squawk 2211. What am I doing wrong?

I’ve made a program that sets the squawk code. If you’re interested let me know. It’s a stand alone program where you just type the console and it sets it in game.
