I’m stuck, or more like the sim gets stuck when trying to start it up. I get a spinning thing, and I cant get on with loading the sim. See screenshot. I have had problems with my ISP ( I guess ) the last days, but I also have had problems with the MS servers ( I once again guess ). So at one time I had to force shut the sim. Not sure if something happened then.
Reinstalling the whole sim is not an option right now, looking for other ways to fix this first. =)
Im on Win 10 (latest drivers etc)
Hey I was having the same problems today. I waited for about 10 minutes and then the message disappeared and the game launched properly without me doing anything.
Don’t do it becase that’s not going to fix the issue. It’s a known issue dealing with the amount of addons (official + third party) that is installed that was apparently fixed with avionics updates some months ago. The original limit in the past was 1024 addons. Above that limit the issue started to be reproduced. If it’s reproducing again and starts to spread among users then the current fix may not be enough or even a new limit may have appeared.
Who knows, it’s just MSFS, so everything is possible. Anyway prepare for a hard week until SU13 is released.
I started to see the issue yesterday. The latest enviromental changes were a new beta patch released the day before and the usual marketplace updates expected to happen yesterday.
Firstly, thanks for bringing this to our attention! I’ve already forwarded it onto the relevant team who will just double check to see if there may be a sneaky server issue.

Seem to be some “mid-loading’” issue. The loading bar seem to stop at about 50 percent, nothing seems to happen, and the the sims loads at normal. Whats going on in that “pause” you think?
There is where local content on OneStore and Community folders start to be loaded by game. The pauses (there and anywhere beyond this point) can be related to local files being generated (scenery indexes, packages, simobjects, etc). That´s normal and game loading can even appear to be freezing while doing this.
The checking for updates happens three times, as far as I know:
After starting game (before loading the local content)
Before loading main menu (after loading is complete)
i try to do fresh installing today,at the start size the game to download was 160gb,butin min that chaange to 125gb. Game was instal but i got some missing content in content manager, aroung 40gb,138 files when i try to download them,at the half of downloading they start from begiining…Any help please
…and I cant download mods in a higher speed and what is feeling like an old 28.8 modem… Not sure whats going on. I also got at “slow connection” warning today.
It’s actually working today. Downloading to scenerys as I write… but its a bit of a “hit and miss”. Pending from very low to high speed downloads. But much, much better than…
…ehm…wow, suddely the download restarted again, and back to zero - and the bar not showing progress…
This keep happening to me at this time since the last thursday, but only on laborable days.
So I had the issue last thursday, friday and today (monday)
Later, at 2100Z or so starts loading normally again
I find that if I turn off internet, and then start MSFS it pass that screen and load to the Main menu. Then I turn on internet again, go to options → data, turn on again and… everything is working fine so WTF xD
(I also tried renaming the community folder so in some of that loading attemps with internet on community was empty and it still didn’t pass that “cheking updates” screen)
Yeah, this is more than weird. Did you have to do the same procedure every time, or will the sim load normally after youve done this once? (or was it working as normal now, you said?). Some good intfo there. Thank you.
